WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo’s education programs are a professional, curriculum-based education service. We treat our animals as an educational resource, presenting them alongside educative programs, which allow your class to identify the different requirements of Australian flora and fauna. Our curriculum based guided programs are delivered by passionate educators, who inspire and engage students through the exploration and interactivity of WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo’s amazing zones.
WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo offers hands-on, interactive, curriculum based fully guided tours for all Australian students visiting WILD Life Sydney Zoo in our WILD Tots (Early Childhood), WILD Kids (K - 6) & WILD Teens (7-12) programs.
WILD TEENS TOPICS
Suitable for Year 7 & 8
This is a one hour guided tour through the zoo with one of our expert zoo keepers. The tour will focus on how we can classify animals based on their characteristics and features and why this is important tool for scientists. The tour will include an animal encounter which students will get up close to some of the animals they have learnt about today.
PRICE - $15.00 per student as this is a lesson focused tour.
Available at 10.30am & 11.30am Monday to Friday during NSW school term.

Suitable for Year 7 & 8
This is a one hour guided tour through the zoo with one of our expert zoo keepers. This tour focuses on the different food webs that exist within the zoo. Students will discover the importance that each Australian animal plays in the food chain. The tour will include an animal encounter that allows the students to get up close to some of the animals they have learnt about.
PRICE - $15.00 per student as this is a lesson focused tour.

Suitable for Stage 6
This is a guided tour through the zoo with one of our expert zoo keepers. The tour will focus on looking at how Australian animals have evolved over time and have adapted to ensure the survival of their species. The tour will include an animal encounter that allows students the opportunity to get up close to some of the animals they have learnt about.
PRICE - $15.00 per student as this is a lesson focused tour.

Tour Times Available
Our WILD Guided Tours are offered at 10:30 am and 11:30 am only Monday -Friday during NSW school terms.
Group Size
We can cater for a maximum 120 students per time slot.
Guided Tour Prices
All guided tours are priced at $15 per student. This is just $4 more than the cost of entry to WILD Sydney Zoo. Teachers and adult helpers are admitted free of charge at a ratio of 1:8, with additional teachers charged at $17.50 per person.
Range of Tours
Our tours have been specifically created by our educators for each year group, and are based on Australian Curriculum Standards. As well as offering standardised guided tour around popular topics of study for each age, we are also able to adapt content to suit the particular learning needs of each school group. We collect this information from teachers at the time of booking, so please let us know how we can tailor content to your students.
