Sydney Attractions Rejoice at the Return of International Travelers!

In what has probably been the toughest and longest two years for the tourism industry, the world and just about everyone in between, we are absolutely delighted to celebrate the opening of Australia’s borders and the quarantine-free arrival of international guests back through our Sydney attractions.

Since Australia’s borders were shut back in March 2020, WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, Madame Tussauds, the Sydney Tower Eye and IFLY Illawarra have been operating without any international guests.

Ian Wood, Regional Director, Merlin Entertainments Australia and New Zealand said: “After adhering to all Government guidelines including closing our attractions for extended periods at a time, implementing capacity restrictions and creating additional measures to ensure the safety of our staff and guests, our focus is now on business and economic recovery whereby the arrival of international guests into Australia plays a crucial role.”

In true Merlin Magic spirit, we have a stellar array of things to look forward to over the next year! An incredible line-up of wax figures are heading to Madame Tussauds, there is some incredible news to be announced at Sydney Tower Eye, brand new furry friends are coming to at WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo and wait for it… Peppa Pig herself will be heading to Australia alongside all other internationals for an All-out Aussie Adventure!

The re-introduction of international arrivals coupled with the Government’s assistance via voucher schemes such as Dine and Discover & Parents NSW, means that we can finally see the light at the end of what seemed like a never-ending tunnel.  

To help celebrate the new Parents NSW vouchers, we will be offering all NSW guests the chance to purchase a $50 Adult PLUS child ticket to any of our Sydney based attractions when visiting mid-week (SAVING OVER $15!)
