Ever wanted to know what the animals get up to at night? Now is your chance to find out!
For one night only, WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo will be turning its lights out* and opening its doors after hours - offering guests the rare opportunity to experience an exclusive night tour of the zoo as part of a registered Earth Hour event.
On Saturday 30th March, the public is invited to meet the Native Australian animals which call WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo home, via an after dark guided tour including keeper talks and animal encounters with sugar gliders and pythons!
WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo General Manager Mark Connolly, said, “For the first time ever, we’re hosting after-dark, torch light tours, at WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo in support of Earth Hour. This annual event aligns with the values we hold close to WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo as it works to bring people together and raises awareness of the importance of doing our part to create a sustainable future"
The torch light tours are a great chance for animal lovers, or anyone who is keen to explore the zoo from a different perspective to witness the secret after-dark lives of our animals, with Curator, Will Meikle saying "The whole zoo changes at night as different characters wake up and become active".
From every ticket sold a $5 contribution will be made to the WILD LIFE Conservation Fund.
Our 8pm and 9pm time slots are sold out, so get in quick and book your tickets for the 7pm tour!
*WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo will turn its lights out in support of Earth Hour 2019 from 7-10pm on Saturday 30th March, including external logos on the Darling Harbour building. Due to the safety and well-being of certain animals, minimal light will remain lit within the attraction.
