Dot and Matilda
Dot and Matilda are Kangaroo Island Kangaroos which is a sub-species of the Western Grey Kangaroo. Kangaroo Island Kangaroos have thicker and darker coloured hair and are well-known for their friendly natures. Dot and Matilda are the first pair of Kangaroo Island Kangaroos to call WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo home and serve as kangaroo ambassadors for the unique sub-species.
Daphne and Martha
Daphne and Martha are Eastern grey kangaroos who are both eight years old. Though they are best buddies, Daphne is undoubtedly queen bee at Kangaroo Walkabout and loves to keep the other residents in line. During winter, Daphne always ensures she has pride of place in front of the enclosure’s heater! The pair also love to sunbathe together in the warmer months and their favourite foods are carrot and sweet potato.
