Walk-About
The new Kangaroo Walk-About is an oasis in the heart of the city at
WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo!
This new zone showcases Eastern Grey Kangaroos, Agile
Wallabies (some are baby joeys too!), echidnas and Princess
Parrots, as well as being the stage for our interactive
Wildlife Show and Python Encounters.
Get closer than ever before!
The newly-themed enclosure has literally pushed out the old
boundaries and allows guests to 'walk-about' in a large section of
the area where the wallabies and roos are free to roam - so don't
be surprised if they hop on up to say hello!
Our wallabies, roos and echidnas were raised from babies by
people, so are well accustomed to human company and even
interacting.
The best of both worlds
The new Kangaroo Walk-About enclosure has been carefully
constructed around the needs of these animals, with plenty of
features to enrich their day-to-day lives, as well as provide shade
and shelter when needed.
It allows our guests to have an intimate experience when the
animals come up close, and also see them wherever they are in the
enclosure - even when they move away from the outdoor interactive
area.
