In response to the alarming decline of Australia's koala
population, WILD LIFE Sydney is about to embark on a new initiative
to support the work of the Australian Koala Foundation (AKF).
Between 2-11 June, WILD LIFE Sydney will ask each visitor to
sign a pledge to support koala conservation, and $10 from
the sale of each full priced walk up ticket will go towards the
AKF*.
These funds will go towards regenerating koala habitat at the
AKF's Quinlan property, north of Brisbane. This valuable piece of
land requires regeneration and will now never face being destroyed
due to AKF's involvement.
WILD LIFE Sydney aims to be at the forefront of koala
conservation efforts in NSW, and we are continuing to develop
strong relationships with various organisations to aid the koala's
plight. WILD LIFE Sydney has been involved with significant koala
research projects with various universities, as well as our efforts
with AKF's Adopt a Koala Program.
During the July school holidays, WILD LIFE Sydney will launch a
cute and cuddly conservation trail, where kids will be taken on a
journey with Koolah the Koala to meet some of WILD LIFE Sydney's
cutest animals, and learn what they can do at home to help the
conservation of these creatures.
Come on down to WILD LIFE Sydney to support Koala Conservation
today!
