WILD LIFE Sydney has just celebrated the fifth birthday of our
resident Southern Hairy-nosed Wombat, Sherman!
Sherman was born in the wild, however was hand-raised by a
wombat orphanage in South Australia. He has been at WILD LIFE
Sydney since 2008 and is a cheeky, playful wombat loved by keepers
and guests.
For his birthday, Sherman was given a special cake, made from
his favourite foods, Lucerne hay, carrot, sweet potato, and corm.
Sherman was happy to share most of his cake with his roommates, six
Yellow-footed Rock Wallabies, however he didn't seem too happy when
they took the juicy cob of corn!
