WILD LIFE Conservation Fund has various events planned throughout the year to benefit our members and help us raise funds.
Forget February, this month at WILD LIFE Conservation Fund is
all about raising awareness and securing a brighter future for our
frog friends.
Welcome to Froguary! Please join us at WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo for
a special event, "Frogs- Indicators of an uncertain
future". Learn about the importance of frogs their current
plight and what we can do to help in our own back yards.
Guest speakers include:
Michael McFadden- Unit Supervisor of the Herpetofauna Division,
Taronga Zoo. Michael is a passionate conservationist who is heavily
involved in the captive breed and release programs for endangered
frog species including the Corroboree Frog and Booroolong Frog. He
will discuss the importance of frogs, their current plight and the
role zoos can play to ensure a brighter future for our amphibian
friends.
Kathy Potter- Representative from the Frog and Tadpole Study
Group of NSW. Commonly referred to as FATS, the Frog and Tadpole
Study Group of NSW are a passionate society of people who desire to
learn about frogs, tadpoles and our environment. Kathy will help us
discover some of the frog species that call the Sydney region home
and what you can do to help conserve them.
